The short answer
Roofing leads go to the roofer a homeowner trusts first.
To get more roofing leads, decide which jobs you want, build out your Google Business Profile, collect reviews from every customer, give repair, replacement and storm work their own pages, run PPC for the searches that matter, be ready before storms hit, call back fast and build referral sources. Roofing is a trust sale. A homeowner is about to spend a lot of money with a stranger on top of their house, so every one of these moves is about proving you’re the safe choice.
Way 1: Decide which roofing jobs you want. A repair lead and a replacement lead are different businesses. Repairs are faster and smaller, and they often turn into replacements later. Replacements are where the money is, but they take an inspection, an estimate and time to close. List the work you take, the materials you install, the towns you’ll drive to and how many estimates your team can run each week. A full calendar changes which leads are worth chasing.
The roofing marketing page covers how Lithium works with roofing companies.
Ways 2 and 3
Win the map pack with photos and reviews.
Way 2: Build out your Google Business Profile. “Roofer near me” and “roof repair” searches show map listings at the top. Set your primary category to Roofing contractor, list every service you offer, set accurate service areas and hours, and keep adding photos of your own crews and finished roofs. Fresh, real photos help homeowners pick you out of three listings. Keep your business name, phone and address identical everywhere online. See our Google Business Profile service .
Way 3: Ask every customer for a review. For a purchase this big, reviews carry enormous weight. Ask at the final walkthrough, when the homeowner is looking at their new roof, and send a text with your review link that day. Reply to every review with specifics. When a review mentions a clean job site or a crew that showed up on time, that’s the proof the next homeowner is looking for. Our guide on how to get more Google reviews walks through it.
Way 4
Build pages that answer the roof question and show the work.
Give each service its own page: roof repair, roof replacement, storm damage and inspections, plus each material you install, like asphalt shingles or metal. A replacement page should explain your estimate process, the materials and warranties you offer, any manufacturer certifications you hold, financing if you have it, and a gallery of finished roofs with the town and material on each. A repair page needs a tap-to-call button at the top and a clear explanation of what happens after the call.
Add pages for the main towns you serve, with real local detail: common roof styles, the weather your roofs face, neighborhoods you’ve worked in. Answer the questions homeowners ask before calling, such as how long a replacement takes, whether you handle permits and how to tell if a roof needs repair or replacement. The roofing SEO page explains the search work. Lithium doesn’t guarantee rankings. What we guarantee is the work.
Use only photos of your own crew’s work, with the owner’s permission. Never promise a diagnosis from a photo or an insurance outcome.
Ways 5 and 6
Pay to be first, and be ready before the storm.
Way 5: Run PPC for repair and replacement. SEO takes months. Google Ads puts you at the top the week you launch. Give repair, replacement and storm work separate campaigns, target only the towns your crews cover, block searches from job seekers, DIYers and shingle shoppers, and send each ad to the matching page. Our roofing PPC guide covers the setup in detail, and Lithium’s Google Ads management is from $500 a month plus ad spend. Roofing is also a common Local Services Ads category, where you pay per lead and can show at the top of the page with a Google Verified badge. See the Local Services Ads guide .
Way 6: Be ready before the storm. Hail and wind bring a wave of searches overnight, along with out-of-town crews. Have a storm page, a storm ad campaign and a call script ready before the season, so you can switch them on the morning after. Plan how many inspections your team can handle and how you’ll tell homeowners the honest wait time.
Ways 7 and 8
Call back first, then let every job bring the next one.
Way 7: Follow up fast. Homeowners often ask several roofers for a quote at once, and the first one to call back often books the inspection. Answer during work hours, text back missed calls automatically, and set a rule for how fast web leads get a call. Lithium’s AI receptionist answers 24/7 for $179 a month with no contract, books inspections and can transfer a caller to a real person. After the estimate, keep following up. A replacement quote that sits for two weeks without a call is often a sale you handed to someone else.
Way 8: Earn referrals from every job. A new roof is visible to the whole street.
Job site signs
Put a yard sign up during every job, with permission. Neighbors see the crew and the finished roof, and some of them have roofs the same age.
Neighbor notes
Leave a friendly note at nearby homes letting them know you’re working on the street, and that you can take a look at their roof while you’re there.
Real estate agents and home inspectors
Inspection reports flag roofs, and buyers on a deadline need fast repair quotes. Be the roofer who answers same day.
Past customers
Check in after big storms and offer a free inspection. Ask every customer for a review, and ask the happy ones for referrals.
Measure it
Follow every lead through to the signed contract.
Record each lead’s source, the roof concern, the address, and what happened: inspection booked, estimate given, contract signed. A pile of form fills can hide leads from outside your area or for work you don’t do. Track cost per signed contract by channel, and use your own job values to decide where the next dollar goes.
