Start with the town list

Vermont is a small state where the town decides the search

Lithium Marketing starts every Vermont plan with the towns your crews cover, not the state name. We build the city pages, run the ads in the towns you serve, and answer the phone, so a customer searching in a town finds a business that serves that town.

Vermont has ten incorporated cities. Its population is small, making it the second-least populated of all U.S. states. A statewide campaign reaches a small audience, while a city page answers the search that names the town where the job is. The five city guides are the next step.

Five cities with figures you can compare

Burlington, South Burlington, Rutland, Essex and Bennington each have a page with the local search and housing figures. Compare the place where you work now with the one you want next.

Housing and geography

The houses you visit and the valleys you cross

Vermont’s median home was built in 1976. Only 7.5% of the state’s housing dates from 2010 or later, so a repair or replacement page fits more of the housing stock than a new-construction page does. Show the problem you found and what you did about it, because that is the comparison a homeowner is making.

The Green Mountains run up the middle of Vermont, separating Lake Champlain and other valley terrain on the west from the Connecticut River Valley that defines much of its eastern border. A crew that works the Champlain Valley and one that works the Connecticut River Valley sell to different towns, so give each its own service-area pages and ad areas.

Trade counts and the shape of the market

A statewide trade count is not a local market

Vermont counts 24 septic tank services and 19 pest control companies statewide. If you run one of those businesses, put your coverage and the services you offer on your own city page, so a customer in a far town can tell if you travel there.

Vermont counts 522 residential remodelers and 348 new home builders statewide. Both fall under construction, but the customer hiring one is not hiring the other. Keep the kitchen and repair work on one page and plans and new construction on another.

FAQ

The questions Vermont owners ask us first

DJ Van Zanten

Still curious?

Call (503) 766-5964 or email [email protected].

Is Burlington the right first city for us?

Choose the city where your crews already book work, not the one with the largest population. Read that page, then the page for the next town on your list, and tell the co-founder which one fits the work you want.

What should we expect to pay each month?

The scope decides where you land inside the published range. SEO depends on how many towns you target and how much of your site needs rebuilding. For Google Ads, the fee tracks the ad budget, the channels in play and the landing pages the campaign needs. The work you buy sets the number, not a package name.

What timeline should we plan for?

Google Ads usually shows its first results within the first week, technical fixes usually move within 30 days, and local and long-tail rankings typically take 60 to 90 days. A website build usually runs six to nine weeks from kickoff to launch.

Which towns deserve a page of their own?

A town deserves its own page when you want the next job there, not because it appears on the map. A page needs its own proof: photos of finished work there, the services you offer and a clear coverage list. Start with one or two pages and add the next when the work arrives.

We are not a plumbing company. Does Lithium work with our trade?

Lithium works with home and local service businesses across the trades, from plumbing and HVAC to roofing, remodeling, landscaping and pest control. The plan changes with the searches your customers type and the towns you cover. Tell us what you sell and where you sell it.
