The profile first
For an Amarillo trade, Lithium Marketing starts local SEO with the listing a customer sees before any website: the Google Business Profile, its photos and the reviews underneath it.
When we checked “plumber amarillo”, the Map Pack owned the top of the page, and the three listings in it showed 3,100, 749 and 197 reviews. A shop that wants those calls needs the right categories, fresh reviews and a page for each service it sells, because Google has to connect the search to your business before a customer gets the chance to call.
What customers search for
Searches for an SEO company in this city are thin: about 30 a month for “seo amarillo” and under 10 for the agency phrases. Your customers are not shopping for SEO. They are shopping for a plumber or a roofer, and that demand is larger: 2,900 searches a month for “plumber amarillo” and 590 for “roofing company amarillo”.
The same results page put Facebook, Reddit and Yelp in the top ten, so a customer can meet your name on a third-party page before they reach your site. The name, phone number and service list have to match wherever they land.

Owners, renters and new arrivals
59.7% of Amarillo's occupied homes are owner-occupied, which leaves a rental share worth a page for landlords and property managers. A plumber or an electrician who takes rental turns should have one, because the question about who signs the work order is different from the one a homeowner asks.
Amarillo grew 2.4% between 2020 and 2025. If a resident is new to the city and has no plumber yet, the first search can decide who they call, so the pages that answer a first-time customer's question are the ones that pick up the work.

Who competes for the search
Plumbing and heating contractors are Randall County's largest trade group, at 61 establishments, while roofing contractors number 28. The plumber competes with more companies for the same search, so reviews and a complete profile carry more weight there. A roofer's page has to name the job, from a repair to a full replacement, because that is how the customer searches.
Electrical contractors number 30 in the county. An electrician who sells panel upgrades and one who sells service calls need different pages, because the customer searching for a dead outlet and the one planning a remodel are not the same buyer.

The SEO retainer
Technical work comes first, because a page Google cannot read will not rank whatever else changes.
We clear the crawl errors, slow templates and broken links that keep good pages out of the index, then check the work in Search Console.
We fill in the categories, services, photos, hours and service area, and set a repeatable review request your team can run after each job.
Each service you want more of gets a page written for an Amarillo customer, and the towns you cover get area pages of their own.
We reconcile the name, number and service list across Yelp, Facebook and the other directories, so a customer who checks two sources sees one business, and the links point at the pages that bring calls.
What every SEO retainer includes
The same eight parts go into every SEO retainer, wherever the business is.
A documented result
F&W Fence Co. is the client on the card, and its numbers come from three pieces of work: a website, SEO and Google Ads. Matt Johnson's quote is from his time running On-Target Landscape.

The tracking goes in first, so the first report is honest. Technical work usually shows movement inside 30 days. Local and long-tail rankings take 60 to 90 days, and revenue compounds from month four. Because calls are counted from the start, a quiet ranking month still shows whether the phone work is improving.
Start with what one booked job is worth to you, then count the services you want found. An electrician who wants more repair calls can run a small retainer. A remodeler selling kitchens and additions needs pages for each service plus steady link work, which puts the plan at the top of the range.
You commit for six months, because the profile work and the new pages need that long to show movement. From month seven the retainer rolls a month at a time, and 30 days' notice ends it. If the reporting stops justifying the spend, that is the time to use the notice.
Google builds that placement from proximity, relevance and reviews, and no agency controls it. What we guarantee is the work that feeds it: correct categories, a page for every service, one name and number across the profiles, and a review request after each job. Where you land is Google's call; the report tracks the movement and the calls.
It is part of the retainer and not sold as an extra: answer-first sections, schema that labels the business and the same details on every profile. No one can promise a mention in ChatGPT or an AI Overview, so the report keeps counting calls and leads.
