Start with the city, then the service

The Ohio city where your next jobs already are

Lithium Marketing builds websites, runs SEO and Google Ads, and handles the calls with a managed AI receptionist for Ohio service businesses. The city guides show each market's search figures, and the statewide numbers put them in context.

Ohio's population grew 0.9% from 2020 to 2025, so the state's customer base is close to flat. The marketing search totals vary widely. Searches for marketing help that name Cleveland total 3,360 a month, while the ones naming Dayton total 250. Open the guide for the city where you want the next job, and size the plan to that market before you add a second city.

City guides, not a state average

Six Ohio cities, six sets of numbers

Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Akron and Dayton have pages of their own, and each page carries that market's search and housing figures plus the trade counts for its county. Start where your crews already book work, then open the guide for the next city on your list.

Ohio housing and the work season

Most Ohio homes were built before 1980

63.4% of Ohio's homes were built before 1980, so older houses are what a repair, replacement or remodel page has to describe. Show what you found, what you fixed and the photos from the job. Put them on the page a homeowner reads before calling.

6.8% of Ohio homes were built in 2010 or later, so new construction is a small slice of the state's housing. A builder or an installer who wants that work should give it a page, not the whole site. Keep that page separate from your repair pages, because the questions differ: finishes and schedules for the new build, fixes for the older home.

Severe lake effect snowstorms are not uncommon on the southeast shore of Lake Erie, so if winter weather moves your start dates, tell us the months your crews can work outdoors. We can keep the ads inside those months and say on each city page when you take outdoor work.

The trades behind Ohio work

The trades that need separate pages

Ohio has 4,228 landscaping services and 3,362 residential remodelers. Those categories cover very different jobs: a mowing contract, a patio install and a kitchen remodel. Put the job you want on its own page, with photos and the questions that help you quote the work.

Ohio also counts 2,970 plumbing, heating and air-conditioning contractors and 908 roofing contractors. A burst pipe at midnight and a roof replacement are different searches with different urgency, so each needs its own page and its own intake questions. The same split works for electrical contractors and painters, whose pages should name the jobs they take.

FAQ

What Ohio owners want to know first

DJ Van Zanten

Still curious?

Call (503) 766-5964 or email [email protected].

We cover several Ohio cities. Where should the plan start?

Start with the city where your crews already book work and where the search totals in that city's guide justify more pages. Add a second city when the first is producing enough calls to keep the crews busy. The plan can cover one city or several, and it does not have to include the whole state.

What moves the monthly SEO price?

The monthly price depends on how many cities you target, the state of your site and the content each service page needs. The published range covers most Ohio service businesses, and the proposal sets where you land in it. What a booked job is worth to you also shapes that number, and you get the price in writing before work starts.

How long before the phone starts ringing?

Google Ads typically show early results within the first week, technical SEO fixes usually move within 30 days, and local and long-tail rankings typically take 60 to 90 days. A website runs six to nine weeks from kickoff to launch. Reports show calls, leads and cost per lead, so you can see what each channel is doing.

If we stop working with Lithium, what do we keep?

You keep the domain, hosting account, WordPress install and content. The usual service agreement starts with six months, then runs month to month with 30 days' notice. The AI receptionist has no contract, so it can be canceled at any time.

Does the receptionist know which cities we cover?

The receptionist works from the coverage list and call rules you give us, so it can answer a caller in any city you serve. It qualifies the job, books the appointment and can transfer a caller to a real person. Tell us about any differences in services or hours between your cities. Custom automation outside the receptionist, such as dispatch or CRM workflows, is a separate project, scoped on its own.
