Google Ads conversion rates
Six conversion rates from real client campaigns.
Each rate comes from a named Lithium client’s case study, so you can see the business, the services and the full story behind the number.
Google Ads calculates conversion rate as conversions divided by eligible ad interactions in the same period. Read Google’s definition
Organic search results
Organic traffic and ranking growth from four clients.
Traffic growth counts visitors from Google. Keyword growth counts the searches a site ranks for. Read each number with its label.
Compare results the right way
Pick the question before you pick the number.
Know what counts as a conversion
Ask what your account counts: a call, a form or a booked appointment. A conversion rate only means something once you know that.
Know which services ran
Each case study lists the services behind its result. A full program of website, SEO and ads is a different comparison from a single channel.
Measure against your own jobs
Match your marketing numbers to the jobs your office booked and finished. Your own job records are the best benchmark for your next decision.

Should we use these conversion rates as our target?
No, use them as a reference point. Check what each case counted as a conversion and which services ran, then set your own targets from your costs and job values. A high conversion rate only pays when the leads fit your schedule.
What should we ask when a marketing report counts phone calls?
Ask which calls count, how repeat callers are handled and whether wrong numbers are filtered out. Then compare a few recorded calls with what your office remembers. Agree on what a call means before it drives a budget decision.
How do we compare marketing reports with different date ranges?
Line up the dates first. Compare the same months, with the same campaigns running and the same actions counted. Then any change you see belongs to the work, not the calendar.
Our website traffic is up. Should we spend more on ads?
Only if your ad and job records show the campaign pays and your team has room for more work. Website traffic alone does not tell you that.
What should a good marketing report include?
Clear definitions for every number, the date range and the account each number comes from. Ask for one example that traces a lead from the ad or search to your office. Your office supplies the last piece: which leads became paid work.
What if a case study is missing a number we need?
Ask the agency for the source report. A good agency shares it, or tells you plainly that it does not have that number. Never fill the gap with an average or a guess.
