Philadelphia marketing, start to finish
Lithium Marketing builds websites, runs SEO and Google Ads and sets up AI phone answering for Philadelphia service businesses, with one aim: more calls that become paid jobs. The four are planned together because they share one customer, someone in the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington metro area, home to 6,329,118 people, who may find you on Google, look over your site and then call.
That metro spans parts of four states, and Philadelphia itself borders three New Jersey counties: Burlington, Camden and Gloucester. A company that crosses the Delaware River for work should name the New Jersey towns it serves on its website, in its Google Business Profile service area and in its ad targeting, all three at once. When the three lists match, a job from across the river gets found, answered and counted like any job in the city.
What we run for you
Few businesses need all four on day one. Each card says what that service covers in Philadelphia and leads to its full page, with the figures that go with it.
What trades search for
Some of the trade searches that name Philadelphia are large. Google counts about 3,600 searches a month for “plumber philadelphia” and about 2,400 for “pest control philadelphia”. A plumber or pest control company that lumps every service onto one page is asking a single URL to answer thousands of different searches, and separate pages for drain cleaning, water heaters or termite treatment give Google something specific to show.
Click prices swing widely by trade: “hvac repair philadelphia” averages $38.15 a click, against $7.56 for “landscaping philadelphia”. An HVAC company buying clicks at that price needs every one to count, which is why its plan puts more weight on organic pages and the Google profile, where a call costs nothing per click. Cheap clicks change the math for a landscaper, who can run ads from the first month and find out quickly which services bring calls.

City size and population
Philadelphia fits 748,270 housing units into about 134 square miles of land. That density means a tight service area can still hold a lot of customers, so it often pays to win the neighborhoods closest to your shop in search and maps before buying clicks across the whole metro.
The city’s population went from 1.60 million at the 2020 census to an estimated 1.57 million in 2025. When a city isn’t adding people, more of your growth is likely to come from households already there, so review requests, follow-up texts after each job and a site that makes the second booking easy belong in the plan from the start.

Philadelphia County businesses
Philadelphia is its own county, so the county chart counts businesses inside the city limits. Residential remodelers are the biggest group on it, at 522. If your remodeling work runs to large, planned projects, the website and SEO carry most of the weight: project galleries, a page for each kind of renovation and a way to request an estimate online.
Repair trades are the other big group: the county also counts 225 plumbing, heating and air-conditioning contractors. If many of your calls are same-day repairs, Google Ads puts you in front of the caller quickly, and the AI receptionist makes sure the phone gets answered whenever it rings.

How we sequence the work
Each step pays for the next, so nothing gets bought before the tracking can show what it returns.
Before anything changes, each phone number and form gets its own tracking, which gives you a baseline of calls by channel to judge every later step against.
We compare missed calls, site visits that never call and searches you don’t show up for, and the biggest leak gets fixed first.
SEO and site pages go to the services you want long term, and Google Ads cover the jobs you need booked this month while those pages climb.
One monthly report shows calls, leads and cost per lead from every channel, and budget moves toward the ones booking work.
Proof from a client
Lithium has no Philadelphia case study to show here, so the card shows Dixie Glass, a glass company on the Mississippi Gulf Coast that hired Lithium for a new website, SEO and Google Ads together. The quote beside it comes from Nathan Boos, whose construction business, Hillsview Building, has worked with the team for years.

“A lot of options out there for websites and SEO. I’ve worked with this team for years now and would highly recommend them. They know their stuff and deliver results. More importantly to me- they care about service and follow through on what they say they will do. Easy to work with and communicate with. Thank you!”

Yes, and the miles don’t change the work: Lithium is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, with a team in Portland, Bend and Seattle, and works with every client by video. A co-founder leads your strategy calls, and Allison McKenney, the account manager, handles day-to-day questions. What brings in Philadelphia calls is pages, listings and reviews built around Philadelphia, and none of that needs an agency down the street.
Start from two numbers: what a typical job is worth to you and what a call costs to win in your trade. Trades with expensive clicks usually put more into SEO and the Google profile, trades with cheap clicks can lean on ads, and the AI receptionist is $179 a month. A co-founder sketches the split with your numbers on the first call.
Movement you can measure, not a finished result. By the end of the first month, tracking shows where your calls come from, and Google Ads calls typically start within the first week of a campaign. SEO is slower: rankings build over the first few months, and its revenue tends to compound from month four. The AI receptionist is usually answering calls within days.
Most services run on an agreement that starts with six months and then goes month to month on 30 days’ notice. The AI receptionist has no contract at all. Your website, domain and hosting sit in your name, so they stay with you if you ever leave.
Most Lithium clients are owner-run service businesses: plumbers, HVAC companies, roofers, remodelers, landscapers and similar trades. A one-truck operation might start with the AI receptionist or a website, and a larger company with several crews might run all four services. The plan is sized to the business, not the other way around.
